Alexandra Perri in the Forum of the 2ο Digital Short Film Festival in Athens

Alexandra Perri completed a series of painting installations in the visual show ‘Digital Reality’ in the Forum of the 2ο Digital  Short Film Festival in Athens. The Visual Show was hosted in several coctail bar and pubs in Athens such as Hoxton, Nixon, Kanji, Tailor made and Magaze. The show approached a digital development of civilization which springs radically and infects the whole sphere of human action. Reality brings the artist into a term of believing in a ‘digital fantasy’.  In her work, Alexandra Perri, mixes objects and organs from human anatomy. The body is a fragment or can be a part of a whole, but in either case it is connected with a vital organ which the cause of the erotic sentiment: the heart. Color can be a contemporary condition to reproduce the body as part of nature.  Reality is blue, red or yellow and transforms digital context into basic sentiment. Alexandra Perri's project was hosted in Kanji. Public places, in the center of Athens, allow a dialogue between randomness and digital fantasy. The project opens up to public criticism instead of  'indoor' Art Criticism.
